Daxter is a Platformer 3D video game published by Sony released on March 14, 2006 for the PlayStation Portable.
Review by Wolfzen:
Daxter. This brings back fond memories of Jack and our favorite little sidekick here.
You play this game as, of course, the fuzzy Daxter. There isn’t much to say about this game.
There is no specialized combat system; it’s all in real time. Your objective is to find Jack and save him from wherever he is; a cut-scene in the beginning shows he was abducted by some evil people! Oh no!
You end up working for a bug exterminator, and must rid the area of mechabugs. Yes, mechabugs.
The fighting is mostly done with a gas can and a bug swatter (electric). The gas can can gain several modes later on.
There is also a ‘sleep’ system, where you can do minigames and gain extra bonuses from. You can also battle with bugs that you collect in multiplayer. Throughout the game as well, there are some crucial chases and minigames that you must complete to continue in the story line.
This game is a pretty good game to pass the time, but I would no recommend it for someone who wants to have an extremely good story.
I would still play it, however, because it gets addictive, and it’s pretty fun to smash some bugs, isn’t it?
